For a sign that runs from dusk to dawn, the energy and maintenance savings usually cover the retrofit cost within two to four years.

In almost all cases, we can retrofit. Channel letters, cabinet signs, monument signs, and lightboxes can typically be upgraded to LED modules without replacing the sign itself. We pull the existing fluorescent tubes or neon, install LED modules and a new power supply, and rewire to current code. The sign face and structure stay in place.

Often, yes. New illuminated sign installations and most circuit-level electrical changes require an electrical permit through Cape Coral or Lee County. Simple component swaps (replacing a failed LED driver or transformer with an equivalent part) generally do not.
