Sign Removal

Almost always. Removing channel letters, cabinet signs, or raceways leaves anchor holes, sealant residue, and often a visible ghost mark where the sign protected the wall from sun fade. We patch and fill mounting holes, repair stucco where needed, and repaint the affected area to match the surrounding wall. The level of restoration is your call, and we quote it as part of the removal scope.

Often, yes. Removal of permitted signs in Cape Coral and Lee County frequently requires a removal permit, especially for freestanding signs and any removal involving electrical disconnection. We confirm the permit requirements for your specific sign upfront and handle the paperwork as part of the project.

We disconnect, cap, and properly terminate all sign-related wiring to current NEC and local code requirements. If the circuit is staying in place for a future sign, we leave it safely capped and labeled. If it is being removed entirely, we coordinate with an electrician to disconnect at the panel. Either way, no live wires are left behind.

We sort and dispose of components responsibly. Metal frames, aluminum, and steel are recycled. Acrylic panels are disposed of per local waste guidelines. Fluorescent tubes, neon, and any hazardous components are handled as hazardous waste under EPA regulations. If you want the sign returned to you (some clients keep a piece for nostalgia or repurposing), we can arrange that instead.

For most tenant signs and standard building-mounted signs, we can typically schedule removal within one to two weeks of a request, often sooner if the timing is tight. Freestanding signs with footings, multi-sign properties, and removals that require permits or coordinate with a new sign installation take longer to schedule. We give you a realistic date upfront so you can plan around it.
